EinkDashboard ("we", "us", or "our") operates einkdashboard.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use our service — a platform that lets you display your calendar, weather, tasks, and other data on an E-ink Kindle device without jailbreaking or coding.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Email address when you join the waitlist or create an account.
• Dashboard configuration: widget layout, display preferences, and Kindle resolution settings.

OAuth tokens from third-party services: When you connect integrations, we store the access and refresh tokens required to fetch your data on your behalf:

• Google Calendar — to read your upcoming events.
• Todoist — to read your task list.

We only request the minimum permissions necessary and never write or modify your data on these platforms.

Automatically collected data:

• IP address, browser type, and operating system for security and abuse prevention.
• Basic usage analytics (pages visited, feature interactions) to improve the product.

Data we do NOT collect:

• Any data from your Kindle device. Your Kindle simply loads a static image via a URL — no cookies, no tracking, no JavaScript runs on the device.

How We Use Your Information

• To send waitlist updates and early-access invitations (email only, no spam).
• To generate your personalized dashboard image by fetching data from connected services.
• To maintain and improve the reliability of the service.
• To detect and prevent abuse or unauthorized access.

Magic Links

Your dashboard is accessible via a unique Magic Link (e.g., einkdashboard.com/d/abc123). This link does not require login and is designed to be typed into your Kindle browser. Treat your Magic Link like a password — anyone with the link can view your dashboard. You can regenerate a new link at any time from your account settings.

Third-Party Services

We integrate with the following services to power your dashboard:

• Google Calendar API — Google Privacy Policy
• Todoist API — Todoist Privacy Policy
• OpenWeatherMap API — weather data, no personal information is shared.

We do not sell your data to any third party.

Data Retention

• Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe.
• OAuth tokens are retained until you disconnect the integration or delete your account.
• Dashboard configurations are retained until you delete them or your account.

Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, encrypted at rest) to protect your data. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are never exposed in logs or URLs.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. Upon account deletion, all your data including OAuth tokens and dashboard configurations will be permanently removed.

Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered users by email of any material changes to this policy. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
